What are your thoughts on the US Mint trying to issue gold coins to replace dollar bills? I recently saw a new commercial financed by the US Mint for that very concept. The commercial is another example of the government wasting money as far I saw it. I could not find it on YouTube if you can believe that? Anyway the Statue of Liberty leaves her perch and walks through the city to Central Park to buy one hot dog with a couple of gold dollar coins! Wow it sounds even worse when I actually write it out. Are you tired of all the financial news headlines that have dominated the news spotlight for the last few months? I know I am! All we seem to be reading about is big banks, big insurance companies, mortgage lenders and many other large investment corporations that are in trouble and looking for the governments of the world to bail them out. Hey that’s all fine and dandy but where is all the money to help the everyday joe on the street. While looking up news stories for money today I noticed quite a contrast in stories that came up today. On the one hand you have news reports talking about the insane amount of money being generated by the political fund raising machines of Obama and McCain. The McCain group for the month of August reported his best month of fund raising yet with $47 million. The Obama group have yet to report their August numbers they are not due to release them until Sept 20th, but some reports are estimating their numbers to be around a record breaking month of $55 million. We are talking about 1 month of fund raising bringing in over $100 million dollars and we still have the biggest months ahead of September and October.

Your mind set has everything to do with how much money you have and how much money you will make in your future. History is full of examples of people who have exceeded their wildest financial dreams. Not because of their jobs or their education but simply because of their mindset, their perspective.
Let’s face it the majority of us grew up seeing our parents working a job with not even a thought of working for themselves. Why because that is how their parents did it. Work a good job make a decent living, scrape together every penny and save save save until you retire with a nice pension. Now that may have been good enough back in the day.
